WHAT IS LEADERSHIP?
Leadership is the capacity and will to rally men and women to a common purpose and the character which inspires confidence.
How can we know (that they are) a true leader?
- By their fruit
- By their character
- (Not of their skills or talent / potentials)
The foundation of leader is your character.
WHAT IS CHARACTER?
- Character is more than talk.
- Talent is a gift, but character is a choice.
- Character brings lasting success with people.
- Leadership cannot rise above the limitations of their character.
Leadership and character must be EQUAL.
- Your characters determines of who you are.
- What you have done is is just an outward part.
- The way you response reflect your character.

CHARACTER:
I.
- Anyone can say that he has integrity, but action is the real indicator of character.
- Your character determines who you are.
- What you see determines what you do.
- You cannot separate a leader’s actions from his actions.
II
- We create it every time we make choices to cop out or dig out of a hard situation, to bend the truth or stand under the weight of it.
- As we live our life and make choices today, we are continuing to create our character.
III
- True leadership always involve other people.
- Followers does not trust leaders whose character they know to be flawed, and they will not continue following them.
IV
- 4 A’s
- Arrogance
- Aloneness
- Adventure-seeking
- Adultery
FOR ACTION:
1. Search For The Cracks
- Spend time looking at the major areas of your life (work, marriage, family and ministry, etc.) and identify anywhere you might have cut corners, compromised or let people down.
2. Look For Pattern
3. Face The Music
- The beginning of character repair comes when you face your flaws, apologize and deal with the consequences of your action.
4. Rebuild
- It’s one thing to face up to your past actions. It’s another way to build a new future.
- Now that you’re identified any areas of weakness, create a plan that will prevent you from making the same mistakes again.
———- REFLECTION:
A man took his young daughter to a carnival and she immediately ran over to a booth and asked for a cotton candy. As the attendant handed her the huge ball of it, the father ask, “sweetheart, are you sure you can it all that?”, ” Don’t worry dad,” she answered “…I’m a lot bigger on the inside than the outside”
Real character is being bigger on the inside. Character is based of who you are.
